There are many people in this world who have mastered the art of suppression, maintaining a persona that others love and admire because it benefits them. But inwardly, the one who suppresses slowly loses their identity.
You begin to live a life that is functional on the outside, but empty on the inside. You perform, but you are not living. And when purpose is lost, life begins to feel meaningless.
Look at the world today: there is an increase in mental and emotional struggles, not just because of pressure, but because of pretense. People are not given space to be authentic. They are celebrated for who they appear to be, not who they truly are.
But hear me:
It is better to speak the truth in love and walk in peace, than to live a life of suppression that leads to depression and silent rejection.
There is more to life than the pain you are carrying.
Suppression is not strength.
Suppression is not peace.
Suppression is deception disguised as wellness.
At some point, you must speak. You must stop pretending that what people say and do do not hurt you.
Many times, others are unaware of the damage they are causing because you have trained them to believe you are “okay.”
But peace cannot be built on silence. Healing cannot grow where truth is buried.
The truth can be spoken in love, with clarity, and with wisdom. Jesus does not want you surviving; He wants you whole.
So, stop suppressing. Speak the truth in love. And step into freedom. In Jesus’ name.
