Letter to the Editor: Mental Illnesses or Fruits Of The World?

Dear Editor,

The word of God is our daily bread. Jeremiah 15:16 Living Bible says; Your words are  what sustain me; they are food to my hungry soul. The question is, whose food or tree are we eating from? The bread of life or the skull candy of this world?

We get a sugar rush, a high, and a pleasure that continuously has to be replenished when we associate or indulge our worldly cravings. How does each taste make us feel? Do we feel as God promised in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end,” or do we feel in line with the world’s belief in and celebration of mental illnesses?

According to Google, mental illnesses are “health conditions involving changes in emotion, thinking, or behaviour (or a combination of these). Mental illnesses can be associated with distress and/or problems functioning in social, work, or family activities.”

In such a time as this, with Satan’s hand being exposed to this wicked tactic, we need to cling to the almighty God and demolish every works of the enemy with His word. See,the devil likes to keep people in a mental chokehold, and to do that, he likes to entice and then throw in the spirit of fear. Once people are lost in that vile spirit then the lights dim, and we start to glorify and praise, accepting such portions that are not of the Lord. Which is not the way to live. So no! I will not help Satan glorify Mental Health Awareness Day. I will continue to do my part in advancing the ministry of God by spreading His truth because He is in the business of setting our lives and minds free. Thank you, Lord, for delivering us out of the hands of Satan and into your loving arms. Amen!
